What is Future Faking? (#Shorts on Narcissistic Abuse)

Here is a basic #Shorts description of future faking in a narcissistic relationship dynamic. Future faking can happen in a narcissistic familial, romantic, workplace or friendship dynamic. It’s a way for the narcissist to convince you that they have your best interests at heart. They paint a wonderful picture (which is in fact a fictitious ploy) of a dream life together which is tailored to your core values, beliefs and deep seated desires. This is a tool that creates a very strong bond. They refer to this ‘dream’ whenever there are dramas, difficulties, disagreements or struggles in the relationship (usually that they created in order to get energetic supply from you). They will say things such as “remember the dream!’ or ‘we’ve come so far, we can’t give up now!’ or ‘nothing worth having is worth walking away from, it takes work. I love you. We have so much to lose! Don’t do this’ Future faking programmes the target of abuse to overlook or disbelieve (deny and suppress) dramas, gaslighting, triangulation etc……..
